Caroline Andrewes, Sales Manager, Cloud & Enterprise
Since Vysiion’s establishment Caroline has led what was effectively the start-up managed service arm of Vysiion and focused upon enterprise sales. In short order she has developed a strong sales team and an impressive sales pipeline, which in turn has led to a number of impressive deals, won in competition with well-known service providers.
In under 12 months from Vysiion’s inauguration, Caroline’s team has transformed from a ‘start up’ to an established, high performing business unit.
Caroline’s early career started at Securicor Information Systems in 2001 as a software development graduate, producing solutions for emergency services. This was followed by rapid progress through Service and Business Management roles into heading up the Central Government Sales for Capita Secure Managed Services and achieving Salesperson of the Year in 2013.
Michael Grimshaw – Sales Manager, Infrastructure
Michael leads Vysiion’s infrastructure and communications sales team, providing market leading passive and active networking solutions to the utilities and data centre sectors.
Whilst continuing to hold Vysiion’s leading position as a managed technology solution provider to utilities, Michael has developed new business in the transportation sector. With early success transportation success including the installation of passive fibre network solutions supporting the electrification of the London Paddington to South West mainline.
Michael also works with major data centre partners to deliver infrastructure solutions to customers with elevated security requirements.
Earlier roles include sales roles in the fibre optic network industry including sales management in the UK and Europe. Michael started his technology career developing software for UK law firms.
Gavin Poynton, Head of Client Services, IT Services
Customer and user experience centric, Gavin is a highly experienced and technically oriented Account Management and Business Development focused consultant.
With a strong customer service and partnership bias Gavin is equally at home developing technology roadmaps for large charity organisations as presenting specialist managed technology solutions to enterprise class health care providers.
Gavin works across a number of existing and new customers to help shape service and project requirements, and ensure the delivery of outstanding service from Vysiion’s managed service and project-based service offerings.
Having joined Vysiion in 2010 Gavin has a background in application and service development, core infrastructure design and deployment, and cloud / hosted environments.
Clair Griffin – Senior Solutions Consultant, Cloud & Enterprise
Clair provides pre-sales, bid management and project management services to the sales teams.
With a broad technical knowledge and experience of leading new services to market, Clair is expert in generating accurate commercial models for new managed technology solutions and services. Many of the early enterprise sales successes have been underpinned by Clair’s technical and commercial expertise.
Clair was responsible for bringing core infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offerings to market for Capita. Other successful projects have included providing consultancy for the emergency services Airwave project, the TETRA radio implementation and control technology and implementation for emergency services and utilities.
In 2006 Clair received the Chief Constable’s Commendation from the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.
Steve Mayhew, Business Development Manager
Steve is an experienced business development professional, with a special interest in public sector commissioning and projects to deliver sustained, improved outcomes for citizens.
With a passion for embracing new models of delivery, Steve has expertise and a track record in delivering managed technology solutions which enable sustained improvements in operational effectiveness. In addition to direct customer sales, Steve builds strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with large systems integrators.
An industry influencer Steve has spoken and shaped SOCITM regional events and Tech UK engagements in local government.
Steve’s former career includes many years at Capita where he headed the managed services sales operation in Secure Information Systems, and was formerly at Logica, EDS and Reuters.
Richard Flamson, Project Manager
Richard, specialises in providing solutions for complex multi-vendor infrastructure and communications projects.
With extensive experience of sales and pre-sales in IT, communication and infrastructure solutions and services spaces, Richard has led the production of winning propositions for multiple markets. this includes Utilities, Oil and Gas, Transportation and Public sectors. More recently Richard has developed an understanding of the unique technical requirements associated with providing solutions to off-shore wind farm platforms.
Along with Michael, Richard is keeping Vysiion in its market-leading position in the provision of managed technology solutions to utilities and developing Vysiion’s growth in the utility and transportation market spaces.
Over a twenty year period, Richard has developed a wide level of technical knowledge including fibre optic, PDH/SDH transmission, packet networking a radio.
Junior Small, Sales Executive, Infrastructure
Prior to joining Vysiion, Junior held sales roles in the travel industry and brought that customer centric perspective to Vysiion.
Junior joined Vysiion in 2013 in a customer support role. Potential was seen in Junior who quickly advanced to an infrastructure sales role, providing passive and active networking solutions to multi-national utilities.
Many of Junior’s projects are in support of major critical public infrastructure and includes solutions for new offshore wind farm developments. Junior is now a key player in many of Vysiion’s infrastructure and communications successes and a valuable reference point for complex multi-vendor solutions.
Jen Jackson, Business Development Manager, IT Services
Jen joined Vysiion in 2014 following a 10-year career in a variety of relationship-focused business development and account manager roles.
With a desire to help clients understand technology and how it relates to their business, Jen helps customers select the most appropriate solution for their business.
A skilled facilitator who values great partnerships and close collaboration, Jen presents customers with easy to understand solutions which blend support and value added services to enable business meet their business and customer expectations effectively.
Able to shift effortlessly from providing product recommendations to proposing full managed solutions, Jen previously held roles with various IT solutions and telecoms providers.
Leigh Hall, Business Development Manager, Data Centre & IT Services
Leigh joined Vysiion in 2014 to focus upon building up a portfolio of data centre and cloud services to support the enterprise sales activity.
Thanks to Leigh’s drive and determination Vysiion quickly expanded its G-Cloud service offerings and have brought to market a managed colocation business stream within aisle space on two of the UK’s premier data centre campuses.
Following the growing demand for managed colocation services, Leigh is now focused on continuing to bring secure, resilient data centre services to market and developing what is now a proven business unit within Vysiion; and supporting Vysiion’s extensive IT Sevices.
Leigh previously held roles at MDS Technologies Ltd, Prolinx, and Surveysmart Ltd.
Steve Fisher, Colocation Technical Consultant, Data Centre & IT Services
Steve is an essential member of our colocation delivery service, with his focus upon supporting the services within the Ark Data Centre both from an existing customer support perspective as well as on-boarding new customers. He is both experienced and, of importance, BPSS vetted.
His previous responsibilities included 15 years’ experience as a senior technical lead for a technology-led organisation. There his depth of activity encompassed LAN/WAN/SAN connectivity plus bespoke product development into service offerings for technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Equally Steve’s abilities extend into server and network infrastructure design and support. This depth of knowledge and experience are essential in his current role.
Jane Lockwood, Operations Manager
Jane is responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of wired passive networks for Utilities and IT services customers.
Keeping track of Vysiion’s multitude of projects across several countries, different time zones and disciplines requires Jane’s knowledge of her industry and customer base. Her attention to detail and honed project management skills are second to none.
Jane is responsible for leading the installation teams and has been responsible for the delivery of solutions deployed as part of high profile, critical public infrastructure projects, often in harsh environments. Jane’s team have been responsible for delivering solutions to Power Utilities and within the Rail Industry. More recently Jane’s team have overseen the delivery of extensive fibre network installations for large Government Departments within highly secure data centre environments.
An experienced leader, Jane joined RFL Communications in 1996 and was instrumental in helping to build its market-leading reputation as well as the creation and rapid growth of its IT managed services business unit.
