Vysiion, the managed technology solution provider, recently supported a contract to provide ICT infrastructure services for SECOM plc.
SECOM Plc is a global company employing over 53,000 people with operations in 21 countries that provides customised security systems to homes, businesses and public sector organisations throughout the UK. Their solutions include intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and physical protection.
The Group supports nearly 2.7 million customers in over 2,800 locations worldwide and has assets exceeding £7.5 billion with an annual turnover of £4.4 billion.
The UK business already has a strong infrastructure delivery model and was looking for a provider to enhance and support an improved network platform. The ultimate aim is to keep in step with global IT requirements and to support SECOM’s worldwide ICT strategy.
Vysiion supported SECOM’s desire to upgrade its ICT infrastructure in line with SECOM’s strategic security approach, its continued growth and its desire to maintain leadership in the personal and business security sector.
The new platform will support the network of approximately 500 users across eight regional sites and six small offices affiliated with the regional sites. Full management is maintained by SECOM’s national ICT team. Bryan Webster, SECOM’s IT Systems Manager, comments: “Vysiion quickly recognised the need for both flexibility and security in defining and developing a solution to support SECOM’s next phase infrastructure delivery. The approach is fully supportive of the Group’s worldwide IT Strategy.”
Jen Jackson, Business Development Manager Vysiion, said: “It has been a pleasure to develop a solution that works for SECOM in the UK. Vysiion’s consultative approach and delivery mechanisms is based upon guiding principles that focus upon long term relationships. I am looking forward to working with and supporting SECOM’s future requirements in the coming years.”
