Vysiion has been recruited to support Pluss in its drive to deliver a first-class digital platform for its customers and an agile working environment for staff.
Vysiion, the managed service technology provider, has secured a contract to cover IT service and delivery support for Pluss, the award winning social enterprise organisation. This service will encompass managed service and support for their existing IT infrastructure with a provision for planned and scalable development of the Pluss IT architecture.
Based in Exeter and with an extensive operation throughout the South West, Pluss provides recognised employment programmes on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions, European Social Fund (‘ESF’), Big Lottery Fund, multiple Local Authorities and the NHS.
Following the announcement that they have been successful on the UAEHRS (Umbrella Agreement for the provision of Employment and Health Related Services) framework, Pluss understood the necessity to ensure that their IT infrastructure and services could sufficiently scale to ensure first class delivery both for their staff and clients across the UK. Scalability, flexibility and security stood at the heart of this requirement.
Vysiion as an established provider of IT managed services to both the public and private sector was selected in a competitive bid process to work with Pluss on developing the existing and future infrastructure of the organisation.

The relationship with Pluss will develop in the coming months and as the transfer of responsibilities takes place between Pluss and Vysiion. The first phase involves a transition from the current to new service which includes the immediate utilisation of Vysiion’s ITIL-aligned Service Desk. As part of this transition the Pluss Service Desk will join the Vysiion team to support a smooth transfer of knowledge.

Following the initial transition Vysiion will be working with Plus on a transformation plan that is likely to include a number of significant changes including a new data centre that will provide flexibility and security for existing applications, a hardware refresh of all laptops and PCs to support smarter working and a move to Microsoft Office 365 allowing anytime-anywhere access.
Consolidating these changes will be the implementation of a new secure network to support the SaaS implementation and a phone upgrade in order to obtain the benefits of a unified communications environment.

The Pluss – Vysiion transition and transformation project will take place in phases over the coming year and ultimately reduce the pressure on the Exeter head office which currently services the Pluss network.
